I renewed my subscription for the 20/21 season. What happens now?
Roll Over Beethoven… The 20/21 season of concerts has been moved forward one year and will now take place in 21/22, and your subscription will automatically roll over to 21/22 with it. Your renewal instructions and seating preferences will be applied in 21/22 and your subscription is locked in at 20/21 prices. Concert dates will be published as soon as they are confirmed.
In the event that we are able to perform in front of a live audience in the second half of the 20/21 season, between January and May 2021, a limited number of pre-sale tickets will be offered to “roll over subscribers”—at your customary 20% subscriber discount—before going on-sale to the general public.
I am a subscriber with additional ticket credits for concerts in the 20/21 season due to the May concert cancellation. What happens now?
Those tickets will also be rolled over to the 21/22 season.
What happens with the 20/21 season concerts?
The concerts we were originally planning to play roll over into 21/22. We are making every effort to keep the season as intact as possible. Concert dates will be published as soon as they are confirmed.
What will you be performing instead in 20/21?
This fall 2020, while the Lesher Center for the Arts is closed, California Symphony will present Second Saturdays @ California Symphony, a series of online concerts which will take place every second Saturday of the month. These special virtual presentations will spotlight fresh performances by featured soloists, plus conversations with Music Director Donato Cabrera, and they will be available free of charge online and on Walnut Creek TV (channel WCTV) on these dates:
- Bravo for #Beethoven 250—Saturday, September 12 at 7:00 PM
- Virtuoso Vibrations—Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 PM
- It’s a Cello-bration!—Saturday, November 14 at 7:00 PM
- Season in Song—Saturday, December 12 at 7:00 PM
Then, starting in January 2021, each concert in the remainder of the 20/21 season will be announced six weeks in advance. If we are able to perform in front of a live audience, tickets will be available starting six weeks before the performance, with pre-sale offered to those with subscriptions rolled over from 20/21 to the 21/22 season.
How can I find Walnut Creek TV to watch the Second Saturday virtual concerts?
WCTV is available in Walnut Creek on Comcast Channel 28 (Channel 26 in Rossmoor), Astound Channel 29, and on AT&T U-verse Channel 99 under the menu option Walnut Creek Television.
