Christina Knudson

American violinist Christina Knudson has performed throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Ms. Knudson currently resides in Kawasaki, Japan and can be heard performing with Tokyo-based groups such as IlluminArt Philharmonic and Ensemble Miraco. She continues to maintain her position with California Symphony by traveling to America a few times a year to perform. Ms. Knudson received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from California State University, Long Beach where she graduated magna cum laude. She graduated with a Master of Music and Professional Studied Diploma from San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a scholarship student of Bettina Mussumeli. She has previously studied with Phillip Levy, Bing Wang, Mateja Marinkovic and Catherine Van Hoesen. In her spare time, Ms. Knudson enjoys hiking and running marathons.
What inspired you to play your instrument:
A performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto I heard on the radio when I was three-years-old by an unknown artist.
